ALP The Lodge is our school’s exclusive outdoor learning provision.Outdoor learning boosts confidence, social skills, communication, motivation, physical skills, knowledge and understanding.
Research has proven that learning outdoors is also great for young people’s self-esteem, self-confidence, ability to work cooperatively and have a positive attitude towards learning. With so many benefits and lack of outdoor space in some of our school sites, we decided to produce our own learning environment. The Lodge is based in Stockbury, Kent, and gives learners the access to outdoor learning in animal care, forest school, construction in the outdoors, swimming and PSHE in the Outdoors.
We offer a wide variety of enrichment activities and formal qualifications associated with the outdoors. We also provide learners with the opportunity to work towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards and provide opportunities for our Midlands based schools to visit on residential trips.
